The Sacramento Marshallese Youth Coalition (SMYC) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to empowering Marshallese youth and families in the Sacramento region. Our mission is to create opportunities for leadership, education, cultural pride, and community service that strengthen the next generation of Marshallese leaders.

Founded by community members who recognized the need for greater representation and support. SMYC provides a space where youth can connect with their culture, develop essential life skills, and engage in civic and community intitiatives.

We work to:

• Promote higher education and career readiness for Marshallese youth

• Preserve and share Marshallese language and cultural heritage

• Support mental health awareness and healthy lifestyles

• Build partnerships with schools, community organizations, and local leaders

Together, we’re building a stronger, more connected Marshallese community in Sacramento one that honors our roots while shaping a brighter future.
